On nous a amené les plats (très bons) juste après les apéritifs et la serveuse à laquelle nous l’avons fait remarqué n’a pas été très aimable.Par contre, nous avons attendons longtemps les desserts.
The setting and the ambience on the terrace were delightful. Although the squid was slightly overdone the flavours were good, and the food generally was of high quality.
Unfortunately the service was absolutely disgraceful, and appeared to be based on being English (or not being french) despite our attempts to speak in french. We were asked (and replied) in french whether we wanted the menus in English or French, and when replied English eyes were rolled. One of our starters never arrived, and we had to remind a couple of times. It finally arrived, and then the main was plonked down less than 3 minutes later. We were never given glasses. Again, we requested in French, they confirmed in English, and three times never came. We landed up taking from another table where the people gave up waiting to have their order taken and left after 45 minutes. Our table was set up with the chair legs on the umbrella bases so they couldn’t be flat and no room to move the chairs elsewhere. We noticed French people were getting very good service indeed and could see why was so highly recommended by local friends of ours, but unfortunately they were so rude to us that it spoilt an expensive meal in a lovely setting.
